The Role
Pollock Orora is seeking a Production Assistant to join our team.
This position will report to the: Plant Manager
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
FSLA Status: Non-exempt
What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role
- Production Assistant will be responsible for assisting the production department in their administrative tasks at the division level. The position reports to the Assistant Manufacturing Manager to fulfil the rolls outlined below.
- CAT Team Coordinator
- Ensures that safety training is current and complete in accordance with ISO regulations
- Acts as trainer for safety training
- Prepares, organized and tracks production records and reports
- Files production reports
- Conducts month end inventory for Other Materials
- Assists in updating production procedures
- Updating and maintaining the attendance program
- Back-up for the maintenance clerk
- Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as required
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required; proficient Math and English skills;General clerical skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to operate various office machines and computers.
