The Production Assistant assists the team in preparing, fabricating, assembling, and packaging composite parts under the supervision of a production supervisor. This role involves various tasks such as cutting fiberglass, assembling materials, cleaning, sanding, cutting, and painting.
Responsibilities:
- Cut fabrics, core materials, and consumables as directed for the project.
- Record batch numbers of materials on forms.
- Maintain a clean inventory room and assist with organization.
- Clean and prepare tooling as directed.
- Assist the ordering clerk with the inventory system and ordering.
- Lay-up, fit, and install fiber reinforcements and core materials as directed.
- Maintain housekeeping requirements within assigned areas.
- Read and comprehend job-related documentation and detailed work instructions.
- Complete assigned tasks within the production schedule timeline.
