JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Lead will assist, oversee, and help monitor all warehouse functions for a commercial distribution company that ships consumer electronics and high-end appliances. This includes training and directing the warehouse team to achieve the following. Accurate inspection, verification, and storage of all inbound receipts. Processing, inspecting, and shipping all outbound shipments utilizing company criteria and verifying inventory accuracy using physical and cycle counts. Also, accomplish various projects as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Manager this position will oversee and train new warehouse employees
- Follow and enforce company policies and procedures
- Ability to learn and step into any warehouse role as needed
- Monitor incoming shipments to ensure the accuracy of count and condition of the product
- Utilize computer and RF scanners to complete the shipping and receiving process
- Setup and maintain warehouse organization
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness
- Load and unload trailers as needed
- Oversee and assist with process of picking and packing orders
- Oversee accuracy of picked orders
- Stock and stage incoming products
- Assign work schedules based on position
- Physical inventories
- Conflict resolution
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years of warehouse lead or management experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to work within a team
- Detail oriented
- Forklift experience
- Experience in processing and shipping LTL, FTL, and small parcel shipments
- Ability to multi-task
- Problem-solving skills
- Must have exceptional attendance
- Strong computer skills, office products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to plan and prioritize based on workload
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, and pull for long periods
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to plan and implement overtime as needed
- Willingness to eventually relocate a plus
- Good people skills
- Must function well with minimal supervision
