GENERAL SUMMARY: The OrthoPediatrics Intern Program is guided by our people focused, results-oriented culture and shared commitment to helping children whose lives have been impacted by orthopedic conditions. The Legal Intern will work directly with our General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, Healthcare Compliance Director, Paralegal, outside legal counsel, and other OrthoPediatrics’ departments to draft and review legal documents, and assist in fact-finding projects and investigations. The Legal Intern position requires a collaborative mindset, attention to detail, professionalism, and strong communication and organizational skills. The Legal Intern position offers challenging work, personalized mentoring, and paid experience working in-house with a corporate legal department. Interns at OrthoPediatrics are evaluated for potential future employment, including consideration for the 2026 Intern Program.

Essential Functions
- Provide support to the OrthoPediatrics’ General Counsel and Associate General Counsel on a wide range of U.S. and international legal issues including but not limited to business transactions, intellectual property and product development, dispute resolution, healthcare compliance, data privacy, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Assist in the daily drafting, reviewing, and amending of core business transaction documents, including for example pricing and consignment agreements, distributor and agency agreements, intellectual property and licensing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other technical agreements.
- Lead legal research projects in areas of products liability, healthcare compliance, data privacy, and employment law.
- Support mergers and acquisitions due diligence process and integration initiatives as needed.
- Work with outside legal counsel at the direction of General Counsel or Associate General Counsel, as needed, with respect to the foregoing.
- Perform other essential duties and manage special projects as assigned by members of the legal and compliance departments.
- Recommend opportunities to improve company forms, processes, and procedures and to strengthen internal control structure across the company’s domestic and international businesses.
- Demonstrate self-monitoring of due dates to meet internal and external deadlines and strong reporting and communication skills across all levels of organization.
