Principal Objective of Position:
The Working Team Lead is responsible for the general oversight and allocation of production teams activities, while also performing those activities themselves, to ensure successful achievement of divisional goals and business demands.
Essential Functions:

- Acts as liaison between employees and management.
- Leads day to day activities to maximize scheduling to meet divisional demands
- Ensures plants quality policy, operational procedures, and high workmanship are always maintained.
- Conducts and completes inventory counting for month end.
- Manages all shipping and the incoming and outgoing product and processes required.
- Ensures proper training of all hourly personnel for picking, audits, and shipping procedures.
- Monitors cycle times and strives for continuous improvement
- Ensures consistent compliance by all hourly production personnel with all Federal, State, and local regulatory and safety standards and Company policy and procedure.
- Safety and effectively perform any duties necessary as a working lead.
- Oversee and ensure production maintenance schedules on lifts.
Other Responsibilities:
- Participate in Divisional Team meetings, as required.
- Train hourly personnel in Forklift operation, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years prior manufacturing experience
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 1 year forklift driving experience.
- Prior experience performing inventory management
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with little to no direct supervision.
- Skills and ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, with people from various backgrounds and at various levels.
- Ability and skill working in a fast-paced environment both independently and with others.
- Ability to record and maintain accurate records with attention to detail.
- History of excellent safety and quality record.
- Ability and skill as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with inventory management and related systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some experience in a warehouse/logistics
- Lean manufacturing experience
Work Environment:
This position is required to work in manufacturing environment facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
