Salary range for this position is $51,188-$60,236; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Buyer is responsible for fulfilling the day-to-day acquisition and expediting of goods and services requested by OSF HealthCare entities by reviewing requisitions, supplier statements of work in procurement system, and issuing purchase orders. Consistently provides a superior level of customer service for OSF entity employees, physicians, and patients. Works to maintain and increase contract compliance, and enhance relationships. Acquires products and services that maximize value to OSF HealthCare when considering product quality, safety, and price. Researches and identifies products and equipment through soliciting and evaluating proposals, which best meet the needs of the requesting entity.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: 3 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, clinical management, contracting, accounting, or related field
Other skills/knowledge: Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary as are creativity, tenacity, integrity, and vision. Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while remaining detail oriented. An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word. The ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff
