Swoon is hiring for our Global Manufacturing Client in Mossville, IL. This will be a hybrid role with a 50 / 50 split with onsite and remote.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity with Benefits - Health, Dental & Vision (50% of premium covered for contractor).
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our dynamic team. The Buyer will be responsible for procuring parts, supplies, and services essential to the operation of our business. This role involves collaboration with both domestic and international suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers (domestic and overseas) to manage ship dates and recover past due materials.
- Proactively communicate material shortages to peers and leadership, ensuring transparency and timely resolutions.
- Approve purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services to meet operational needs.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies using system, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Engage with internal teams to discuss material shortages and escalate issues when necessary.
- Evaluate and monitor supplier shipping performance, working closely with the supply base to ensure materials are available to meet production and shipping schedules.
