Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description:

Oslin Nation Co. has a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist. The company is a Manufacturer’s Representative that serves the mechanical (hydronic) and plumbing contractors in the commercial, institutional, and industrial markets in Texas. 

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be expected to perform various tasks involved in the tracking and processing of payments from clients.  The position exists to help facilitate payment from clients who may not have paid for various reasons and to provide excellent customer service in helping to make that happen.  This will encompass a wide variety of duties, which will require someone capable of taking on several projects simultaneously while being able to prioritize and remain focused—someone able to consistently follow-up and with high levels of organization.  Successful candidates will have a strong background in accounts receivable processes.

Job Details:

• Make daily collection calls and emails on past-due accounts—using excellent and considerate customer service to promote likelihood of payment
• Maintain an accurate aging report for all past-due accounts
• Interact with internal sales staff to resolve customer account issues to avoid an on-hold status
• Work as a team to facilitate and accelerate the collection process—including internal sales staff and/or senior management as needed
• Reconcile customer disputes regarding payment
• Cross train with other accounting functions to help provide coverage
• Process customer payments in ERP application.

Requirements:

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, 2-4 years
• Lien and bonding processing experience preferred
• Highly self-motivated and dependable, consistently punctual and reliable
• Ability to proactively develop effective solutions to problems
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite—Excel in particular
• Ability to learn and use ERP system
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and written—with both internal and external customers
• Ability to function effectively in a small team with high standards of accuracy and performance

Hours: M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
