The Business Development Representative at Ostra plays a key role in driving growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. This role involves engaging with potential clients across multiple channels to highlight the value of cybersecurity, uncover pain points or needs, share helpful resources and ultimately set up meaningful conversations with our sales team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively engage prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn; log activity in the CRM.
Research and build targeted lead lists based on ideal customer profiles.
Collaborate with Account Executives to develop industry-specific outreach strategies and target key accounts.
Qualify inbound and outbound leads to deliver high-quality opportunities to Sales.
Build strong internal relationships through clear communication and regular follow-ups.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly activity and pipeline goals.
Test and refine outreach strategies to improve engagement and results.
Continuously learn Ostra’s cybersecurity services and how they address client needs.
Practice objection handling and clearly communicate Ostra’s value proposition.
Create effective outreach sequences and messaging with marketing influence.
Perform additional duties as needed to support Sales initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior sales, marketing, or call-center experience preferred.
Basic knowledge and understanding of products and services being offered in the cybersecurity market.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Natural ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite products.
