Description: This position will support the Vendor Manager from an operational perspective, focusing on vendor performance, process improvements, and implementing future solutions to ensure standards are met at the least possible cost.
Key Deliverables:
Collaborates with various stakeholders, including leadership and regional managers, to ensure vendor operations align with organizational standards.
Provides education and conflict resolution between internal teams and external vendors.
Develops and executes a grading system and scorecard to evaluate vendor performance and compliance.
Creates training materials and job guides as needed. Provides operational training to internal teams as necessary.
Responds to all communication from stakeholders in a timely manner.
Assists with the implementation of new program initiatives (scopes of work, surveys, training materials, etc.).
Researches industry developments to ensure the organization remains informed about new best practices and technologies.
Extensive daily travel is required to observe vendor conditions, conduct performance audits, and provide coaching or education to internal teams.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
1-3 years of vendor management experience preferred.
Knowledge of operational processes and how they impact organizational goals preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech with a variety of audiences, from senior leadership to team members. Ability to deliver clear and impactful messages.
Demonstrated ability to listen attentively and act with the customer's interests in mind.
Proven skill in providing accurate and timely information cross-functionally and to third-party vendors.
Demonstrated ability to work with energy, drive, and a sense of urgency, persisting through challenges to achieve results.
Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and industry-related knowledge, with strong adaptability to new technologies.
Work Environment:
Incumbents work in a hybrid or virtual work style with travel required (approximately 75%).
Must be adept with cell phones and laptops to ensure consistent and effective communication.
