DESCRIPTION
Otterbein University is in search of an Administrative Assistant who will provide key administrative and logistical support to the chair, faculty, staff, and students of the Department of Theatre & Dance. Candidate will exhibit excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle a multitude of tasks for a nationally ranked theatre training program. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, working 37.5 hours / week, 52 weeks a year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Supervises work-study recruitment liaison and all work-study student employees and volunteers for recruitment functions.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE : High school diploma. Administrative experience of at least three years required. Experience in an academic setting is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Must possess interpersonal and communication skills including competency in spoken and written English grammar.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : N / A
TECHNICAL SKILLS : Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to operate and oversee a variety of office equipment
REASONING ABILITY : Knowledge of general office procedures; must possess excellent customer service skills with students as well as adults; strong interpersonal and supervisory skills; ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment in unusual or new situations; must be able to work with multiple interruptions; must be able to retain confidential information.
