Job Summary:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide strategic leadership and direction to drive the company’s mission and vision. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in environmental remediation, familiarity with the Small Business Association (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program, and a thorough understanding of SBA regulations. This role demands a strong leader who can generate revenue, build, and maintain relationships, and manage operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the company’s strategic vision and long-term goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets for growth.
- Revenue Generation:
- Drive business development initiatives to increase revenue and market share.
- Identify and secure contracts and projects, leveraging 8(a) status and SBA resources.
- Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture within the organization.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability.
- Implement best practices in environmental remediation to maintain high standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and environmental laws.
- Financial Oversight:
- Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure financial stability and growth through effective cost management and resource allocation.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
- Promote a safe, ethical, and compliant workplace environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. (Master’s degree a plus). In lieu of a degree 5-7 years of experience in the field will be considered.
- Extensive experience in environmental remediation, with a proven track record of successful project management.
- Demonstrated experience with the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure compliance.
- Must have the ability to understand and summarize complex laws and regulatory documents.
- Proven leadership experience with a focus on strategic planning, revenue generation, and operational excellence.
- Strong business acumen, financial management skills, and ability to drive organizational growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to travel as needed particularly to remote region(s) in Alaska.
