Job Summary:
The Development Generalist (DG) will report directly to the Vice President for Advancement and joins an all-new dynamic development team. The DG will work in a high-pressure, high-expectation, high-accountability, fast-paced, dynamic, and exciting environment. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Generalist to join our development team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about nonprofit work and looking to start a dynamic career in fundraising. The Development Generalist will support various fundraising activities, including donor management, donor communications, event planning, data management, development administration, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:
- Support the Vice President for Advancement and Office of Institutional Advancement Team in developing, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with existing donors, donor prospects, and stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining and cultivating relationships with donors through regular communications, thank-you letters, and acknowledgments. Assist in scheduling meetings with prospective/current University supporters.
- Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, including logistics, coordination, vendor and volunteer management, and post-event follow-up.
- Maintain accurate donor records in the OLLU system, ensuring all information is up-to-date and correctly entered.
- Draft and compose compelling fundraising communications for distribution to include but not limited to: emails, text messages, direct mail letters, prospectuses and event invitations. Help create and distribute fundraising materials such as newsletters, social media posts, and email campaigns. Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct prospect research to identify new donors and funding opportunities.
- Work closely with the Office of Institutional Advancement team and other University departments to ensure the success of fundraising initiatives.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to fundraising activities, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing fundraising materials.

Job Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with donor databases.
- Possess strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well without close supervision, meet deadlines, and ensure the safety and security of confidential information.
- Strong work ethic with excellent follow through skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle for off-campus activities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Marketing, or related field required.
