In this role, you will oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of our clients' outdoor lighting systems, while also interacting directly with customers and contributing to sales efforts. You'll be expected to troubleshoot lighting issues, maintain inventory, ensure job site safety, and keep workspaces clean and organized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a landscape lighting crew to install, maintain, and service landscape lighting systems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with lighting systems, timers, and transformers on-site.
- Conduct basic sales calls to discuss potential upgrades or additional services with clients.
- Provide clients with system overviews, answer questions, and educate them on proper lighting maintenance and usage.
- Work independently to complete tasks, ensuring high-quality results and excellent client satisfaction.
- Maintain a professional, positive attitude while interacting with clients, ensuring the highest level of service.
- Complete required paperwork, including production forms and client records.
- Safely drive company vehicle to and from client locations.
- Maintain vehicle and equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition.
- Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and equipment needed for each job.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times on job sites, including proper use of equipment and tools.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and free from hazards, ensuring a safe and professional working environment.
- Perform basic operational tasks, including scheduling, client follow-ups, and assisting with inventory management.
- Work primarily Monday through Friday, with typical work hours from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional early starts or longer days as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in landscape lighting, electrical, irrigation, or similar fields is strongly preferred. Leadership experience, particularly in overseeing a team and managing job sites, is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude for working with low-voltage systems, timers, transformers, and outdoor lighting setups. Ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team, provide clear guidance, and motivate crew members to achieve high standards of work. Ability to work independently while ensuring that the team stays on track and maintains quality.
- Customer Interaction: Comfortable engaging with clients directly to explain systems, provide recommendations, and answer questions. Ability to educate clients on lighting systems and upsell additional products and services.
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to enforce safety procedures on job sites. Ensure that all crew members adhere to proper safety measures at all times.
- Organization: Ability to maintain an organized inventory of materials, tools, and supplies, ensuring that job sites are stocked with necessary items for each project. Ability to keep job sites clean, safe, and organized.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, including working outdoors in various weather conditions and at varying heights.
- Tools: Must own basic hand tools and small power tools necessary for landscape lighting installations and repairs.
- Driving: Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and be able to safely operate a company vehicle to travel to and from job sites.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, the crew, and the management team. Ability to provide clear instructions and ensure the smooth flow of operations.
- Self-Motivation: Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively and work independently without constant supervision.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
