JET-Tech LLC manufactures and sells patented, shaft-free propulsion upgrades—axial flow water jets—for outboard motors. Our products serve as a direct bolt-on replacement for standard lower units, offering a prop-free, shaft-free boating experience that significantly increases power, fuel economy, and other user benefits.

Position Overview:
The Senior Outboard Technician at JET-Tech LLC plays a critical role as the master service technician, trainer, and product coordinator. This position requires thorough knowledge of outboard motors, mechanical abilities, and the capacity to work independently. The Senior Outboard Technician will be responsible for exercising discretion and independent judgment on significant matters, including those with financial implications for the organization, customers, and product manufacturers.

The Senior Outboard Technician will support customer accounts and internal sales staff in a multi-faceted role that values outstanding customer service and initiative in a collaborative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary JET-Tech LLC master technician.
  • Conduct field testing of JET-Tech products and document all findings.
  • Perform service updates on all orders prior to shipping.
  • Provide technical assistance and Q&A support to customers.
  • Prepare orders for shipment, including packaging and processing.
  • Assist with new sale warranty registration.
  • Research and handle special projects as assigned.
  • Develop training processes for the Dealer Network Management.
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge to serve customers effectively.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with management, sales, and warehouse teams to meet deadlines.
  • Enter and review orders for accuracy in accounting software if required.
  • Support the sales staff and JET-Tech LLC logistics.
  • Manage inventory of motors and parts, placing orders as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Handle warranty approvals and denials.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Certification in outboard motor service and a proven repair history.
  • Knowledge of water jets, particularly axial flow jets.
  • Experience in vessel operation and safety requirements for vessels under 40 feet.
  • Proven ability to operate, work on, and tow vessels, including launching and recovery.
  • Adherence to US Federal Navigation Regulations for operating vessels on US waterways.
  • Experience working in both indoor and outdoor shop environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, stay detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience in training others on outboard motors, including outboards.
  • Ability to obtain JET-Tech LLC master certification as a master technician.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in various conditions, including extreme heat or cold, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to work on vessels, including towing, launching, and recovery.
  • Requires working on a vessel on the water and while moving.
  • May require overnight travel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and CDL if required.
  • Must hold a Florida Boater License or equivalent certification from a US government agency.
  • Must hold a valid USA passport or be willing to obtain one.
  • This position may require international travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
