The farm hosts a variety of acclaimed education programs, public events, and adult education opportunities. It also operates a year-round Farm Store and numerous seasonal farmstands onsite and with community partners. The 47-acre site features nine buildings, including the historic Adriance Farmhouse (c.1772), a Farm Store, and a Greenhouse (1926), along with growing fields, animal paddocks, composting areas, and an apiary. Queens Farm is a fully operational farm with livestock, vegetable production, and farm equipment.
The Opportunity
The Queens County Farm Museum seeks a talented and organized Events Manager to oversee its dynamic public events calendar. Reporting to the Executive Director and serving as a key member of QCFM’s leadership team, the Events Manager will collaborate closely with Senior Staff to design and deliver engaging experiences that celebrate the farm's rich cultural heritage, agricultural traditions, and commitment to environmental stewardship. This position plays a vital role in driving visitation, fostering community connections, and supporting QCFM’s mission through meaningful, mission-aligned events.
Key Responsibilities
Event Calendar Management
- Plan, produce, and execute QCFM’s annual calendar of public events, including live and virtual programs.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and internal departments (Education, Agriculture, Visitor Services, and Operations) to align events with QCFM’s mission and organizational goals.

Compensation
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position requiring 35 hours per week. The schedule is flexible, with occasional weekend work as needed. Hourly rate : $23 - $28 / hr, commensurate with experience.
