Job Overview:
We are seeking an ambitious technical product manager to oversee the product requirements documentation (PRD) for the certified version of Butterfly our eVTOL aircraft. This role will interface with various stakeholders on the commercial, certification and technical engineering teams. To 1) capture the requirements necessary for Butterfly to meet the intended use - applications, 2) communicate the requirements to the technical team and 3) track success criteria through development. The PRD will specify all commercial aspects of the aircraft, such as performance, environmental, mission cases, usage spectrums, passenger integration, avionics, connected vehicle, infrastructure integration and more. It's not expected the applicant will be an expert in all areas, as they will work directly with the product director to capture the primary information for the requirements capture. This will be in addition to conducting various trade studies, assisting with supplier engagements, and other related activities under the product group.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Must have experience in aerospace development. Understanding of aircraft performance trades, certified development, and technical design development phases.
- Experience with cradle to grave product lifecycle.
- Capture, write, and maintain the aircraft product requirements with assistance from various stakeholders.
- Define objective requirements with success criteria.
- Research various nascent topics to generate a preliminary definition of developing requirement areas.
- Conduct trade studies to help determine optimal aircraft attributes to meet the mission cases.
- Assess and track technical risks of all product requirements.
- Build a product culture of defining the requirements around the aircraft operators and end users.
- Coordinating and managing integration meetings with the engineering team.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: BS, MS in an engineering-related field.
- Must have strong technical engineering background.
- 2 years in a lead, management, or senior team role.
- Experience creating, developing, and managing requirements for an extensive program.
- Demonstrated experience as a key contributor on challenging technical programs.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
- Experience with fast-paced cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Jama or similar requirements tracking systems.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certificates: MBA, or Related Management Cert
- Industry experience with electric vehicles is a major plus.
