Summary
As a Transportation Coordinator at OXARC LLC, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement of our products across our extensive network. This position is essential to maintaining our commitment to quality service and timely delivery to our customers. Manages the day-to-day transportation operations of Pasco location including direct driver supervision.
Responsibilities
- Works with the Logistics Manager to hire and train transportation staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and performance of drivers assigned in accordance with company and Union policy.
- Works with the Dispatcher on routing of bulk, cylinder, and pallet deliveries.
- Monitor vehicle location and status to identify potential delays or issues.
- Maintain communication with drivers to provide updates, resolve issues or concerns.
- Assist with internal and external customer difficulties to ensure problems are investigated and resolved.
- Assist with safety audits and works with Environmental Health and Safety Manager
- Maintains knowledge of best practices including the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods.
- Maintains knowledge of regulations related to transportation including those related to hazardous shipments, employee safety, and freight classifications.
- Ensure compliance with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, union contracts, environmental policies, and government regulations.
- Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or relevant experience preferred
- At least three years of related experience preferred
- Functional proficiency with Power BI is preferred.
- Regional truck or freight dispatch experience
- Knowledge of hazardous materials rules and regulations
- Ability to work with a team, establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail
- Effective oral and written communication skills and basic customer service experience.
- Must be organized and have good time management skills.
- Drug screen and background check required.
Salary Range: The salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary for this position which $26.45/hr.-$36.00/hr.-DOE (depending on experience).
