Job Description:
- Provide prompt and professional service to policyholders via phone, email, or in-person interactions
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to policies, coverage, billing, and eligibility provisions
- Determine acceptability and placement of new policies or changes to existing coverage
- Collect premiums and make payments as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and communications
Responsibilities:
- Customer Support: Understand and explain policy details, coverage options, billing information, and eligibility provisions to individual customers
- Policy Sales and Service: Receive quotes or changes to existing coverage and/or new policies, determining acceptability and placement, completing applications or endorsements, and collecting premium when applicable
- Process Improvement: Suggest ways to enhance customer satisfaction and operational workflow
- Documentation and Communication: Document all material conversations with insureds and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverages, and follow up with customers concerning billing, supporting documentation, and company letters
- Timeliness and Accuracy: Maintain a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with customers, agency, and company personnel to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims
