Job Overview
Oyer Insurance Agency is seeking a skilled Policyholder Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to our policyholders, including quoting insurance policies, advising on coverage, making changes, and retention of existing accounts.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in property and casualty insurance and be able to understand and explain policy provisions related to individual customer circumstances. They will also be able to receive customers requesting quotes or changes, determine acceptability and placement, and complete applications or endorsements.
The role requires the ability to multi-task between phone systems, email, agency management systems, and basic software programs. We prefer candidates with at least 2 years of experience in personal or commercial insurance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide support to policyholders by quoting insurance policies, advising on coverage, making changes, and retaining existing accounts.
- Receive customers requesting quotes or changes and determine acceptability and placement.
- Complete applications or endorsements and collect premium when applicable.
- Document all material conversations with insureds and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverages.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in property and casualty insurance.
- Able to provide excellent customer service.
