Assistant Activities Director - Life Enrichment

A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1971. We are seeking to hire an Assistant Activities Director - Life Enrichment.
- Pay range = $60K to $65K Annually based on skills and experience.
Assistant Activities Director - Life Enrichment Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ Activities experience in a Long-Term Care environment.
- Required: Certification at the MEPAP Activity Professional Level or will begin working toward completion upon hire.
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
Assistant Activities Director - Life Enrichment Job Summary:
- Support the Director in developing, organizing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating the activity/life enrichment program and training of activity staff.
- Maintain ongoing social media postings of resident and facility events.
- Visit residents and provides assistance with activities.
- Oversee/Prepare monthly resident calendar of activities.
- Support in maintaining departmental documentation.
- Manage special interest activity groups (ie Garden club).
- Ensure the scheduled program activities are carried out seven days per week and on all shifts.
- Ensure activities are tailored to the residents’ unique requirements and skills.
- Oversee the transportation of residents to social activities programs inside and outside the facility.
- Assist the Director with administrative functions not limited to developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures.
