Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) is a tool used by property owners and developers to finance energy efficiency, renewable energy, and resiliency measures incurred to improve commercial property.
Founded in 2017, PLG is a leading national direct C-PACE lender. With an industry-leading balance sheet, PLG is focused on originating/servicing C-PACE loans nationwide. We are on the ground floor of something big - and we want you to be a part of it.
We are adding a Loan Servicing Bookkeeper to our team. This position can be located in any of our offices (Minneapolis, Grand Rapids MN, San Diego, Chicago, New York), or remote. We are a small company, so you will immediately have an impact on the growth of our team. You will learn from seasoned commercial real estate finance veterans, while working in a growing field.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but primarily will be focused on processing draw requests, reconciling bank and escrow balances, and ensuring our loans are billed and collected timely.

Primary Responsibilities
- Billing: Invoicing for upcoming loan payments
- Collections: Reviewing applicable states’ property tax bills to ensure borrowers paid PACE special assessments
- Collections: Assistance with monitoring of existing portfolio and ensuring payments remitted on time and, where applicable, assisting with early payoffs
- Bookkeeping: Accessing, reviewing, and reconciling bank accounts where construction escrows are held
- Bookkeeping: Ensuring bank account balances tie to servicing platform balances
- Bookkeeping: Ensuring internal systems and files reflect loan payments received, and any loan payments due to third parties
- Loan Servicing: Critically reviewing and processing construction loan draw requests and drafting wires and ACHs to transfer funds
- Loan Servicing: Ensuring that we are funding appropriately, according to the applicable PACE statute
- Other tasks as needed
Skill set must include the following:
- At least 1 year of experience with bookkeeping/accounting/commercial real estate/draws/lien waivers
- Extremely detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to follow through on tasks
- Curious, with a problem-solving attitude (identify issues, but also suggest solutions)
- Extremely organized and responsive
- Research skills
- Moderate Excel skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering accurate and quality work-product
