TITLE: IT Solutions and Security Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology DATE: March 24, 2025
POSITION SUMMARY: This position will have extensive experience in infrastructure management, network and security, and a diverse skill set to support our IT operations and projects.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
This position reports to the IT Manager.
KEY RESULTS:
1. Provide desktop support and manage devices across the organization.
2. Assist with user management, including both modern and legacy systems.
3. Manage cloud environments, specifically AWS and Azure.
4. Maintain and support legacy Cisco phone systems
5. Implement and manage network security solutions, including Meraki and Cisco devices.
6. Monitor and manage VPN connections and ensure secure access.
7. Conduct evidence collection and remediation for security incidents.
8. Monitor alerts and respond to security threats.
9. Implement Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) principles.
10. Provide vendor support and manage relationships with external partners.
11. Lead and manage IT projects from inception to completion.
12. Support the IT help desk and provide technical assistance to users.
13. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT processes and systems
14. Coordinates with internal resources and vendor for document management system related issues.
15. Cooperates with employees, branch personnel, customers, suppliers and others with honesty, integrity, and respectful manner.
16. Accepts responsibility for own decisions and actions.
17. Performs other duties as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Good vision with the ability to read computer screens, documentation, instructions, etc.
2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to walk, climb, crawl, kneel, bend, squat, and reach overhead.
3. Manual dexterity to work with small tools and instruments.
4. Ability to hear and verbally communicate with vendors and employees.
5. Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English.
QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Associate, etc.).
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills.
Strong documentation skills.
Excellent vendor support and project management skills.
Advanced level of understanding and troubleshooting skills with desktop hardware and software.
Ability to evaluate software and hardware specifications and requirements.
In-depth knowledge of network security, including Microsoft, Meraki, Cisco, and VPN technologies.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products and operating systems.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
