The College of Health Professions at Pacific University Oregon is seeking applicants for a Clinical Psychologist position in the Pacific University Interprofessional Clinic (PIPC) to begin in spring 2024. The position is a fully-benefitted partially grant funded position with flexible hours (part-time to full-time opportunities) and provides mental health services to our community. In addition, this position provides collaborative supervision to the HOWTO Grant IPisBEST PA post-graduate Behavioral Health Fellowship and there is opportunity to supervise graduate psychology students from the School of Graduate Psychology. Experience in evidence-based primary care clinical services with emphasis on experience with children and youth is preferred. Candidates must be licensed or license eligible in the State of Oregon.
Position Summary
The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for providing comprehensive care to meet the behavioral, physical, and psychosocial needs for patient well-being. This psychologist is housed in the Pacific University Interprofessional Clinic located in downtown Hillsboro, Oregon. This position is involved in: coordinating with other faculty to support diversity, equity, and inclusion curriculum; mentoring and supervision of one PA Fellow and interprofessional healthcare students; serving as the behavioral health content matter expert for the grant project; and participating in ongoing evaluation and improvement.
Grant Management Duties:
- In collaboration with our workforce training partners, Central City Concern and Unity Center for Behavioral Health, coordinate supervised clinical practice experiences for PA Fellow.
- Serve as the behavioral health content expert and assist with curriculum development.
- In collaboration with HOWTO Grant personnel, supervise and mentor students from the College of Health Professions, and one PA Fellow each academic year.
- Coordinate diversity programming focusing on equity, social determinants of health, and cultural awareness for interprofessional learners, in collaboration with School of Graduate Psychology faculty.
Clinical Practice Duties:
- Coordinate patient care with clinic management to ensure that programmatic accreditation standards are met, and that FERPA and HIPAA rules are followed
,and in accordance with appropriate use of EPIC OCHIN healthcare records. - Perform billing, coding, and charting duties with accuracy, efficiency, and within 24 hours of patient visit.
- Mentor PA and interprofessional learners in the clinical setting.
- Other duties as assigned to achieve grant and clinical practice goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Experience Required for Position:
- Licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Oregon without restrictions
- Experience in providing behavioral health and addiction treatment services in primary and specialty care settings
- Preference will be given to experience with children and youth
- Experience in graduate medical curriculum development, implementation, and ongoing programmatic assessment
- Experience with team-focused patient care, collaborating with interprofessional clinicians, including PAs, MDs, DOs, NPs, Pharmacists, and others.
- Knowledge of and experience in mentoring graduate students
- Ability to effectively operate diverse computer systems and electronic medical records
