What are the responsibilities and job description for the Integration Manager position at PACO Group?
PACO Group, Inc. is hiring an Integration Manager to shepherd complex capital projects for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) from late-stage construction through seamless turnover to Operations & Maintenance. Embedded in WMATA’s Passenger Facilities Construction (PFAC) program, you will synchronize testing, commissioning, safety & security certification, close-out documentation, and asset hand-off for marquee station-upgrade initiatives across the Metrorail system.
Scope of Work
Guide each project’s “last mile” by coordinating system integration, acceptance, and contractual closure. You will align contractors, WMATA departments, and third-party consultants to ensure every deliverable meets performance specs, safety requirements, and operational readiness standards.

- Develop start-up and acceptance plans; secure inter-departmental buy-in and track execution.
Safety, Security & Certification
- Oversee Safety & Security Certification activities, verifying that all hazards are mitigated and documentation is complete prior to revenue service.
- Review planning and design documents to flag any issues that could impede certification or integration into WMATA’s operating systems.
Close-Out & Documentation
- Gather, track, and manage project data—from initiation through completion—to satisfy close-out requirements.
- Ensure the delivery of accurate, comprehensive as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and spare-parts inventories.
- Facilitate O&M training for WMATA staff and verify receipt/turnover of all spare parts and equipment.
- Capture lessons learned and support contract, financial, and Procore close-out tasks.
Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Serve as the primary liaison among WMATA, contractors, and consultants for integration and close-out issues.
- Prepare concise status reports, technical correspondence, and close-out packages using Microsoft 365®.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project/Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- 10 years of relevant experience, including 4 years managing close-out and integration on large infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with WMATA standards, procedures, and the Safety & Security Certification process.
