POSITION PROFILE
Palisociety is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join the corporate HR team. The HR Generalist will work with the company’s portfolio of hotels by supporting each property with respect to employee relations, recruitment, and training. They will work with the Director of Human Resources to oversee the Human Resources objectives and programs across the portfolio within this growing and dynamic company.
Our ideal candidate is an individual that is highly organized and forward thinking and is able to and enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. This position will not only support the Director of Human Resources but will also work closely with operations leadership and property managers across the portfolio to support the company Human Resources goals.

THE TASK AT HAND
HR Functions and Projects:
- Maintain all employee records & files for all Hotel properties.
- Assist with innovation of all HR processes to move toward more efficiencies in all areas of HR functionality.
- Distribute and track mandatory trainings
- Be a resource for the operational teams regarding HR procedures and process
- Employee Relations - Assist management staff with employee relations issues, working as a resource for staff and management teams regarding staff issues and employee counseling
- Assist with all HR functions and updating of all system records which includes: On-boarding process, position or status changes, updating of employee information, termination processing.
- Assist with the maintaining the employer branding on job site listings
- Assist HR Director with all tasks related to pre-opening including: training and onboarding, job fair organization and staff recruiting.
- Coordinate with the accounting team on any payroll related information and changes.
- Assist department managers with training and implementing policies and procedures
- Assist with departmental administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
Training:
- Assist department managers with training and implementing policies and procedures
- Present in-person training sessions in collaboration with Hotel Management teams
- Assist with the assessment of company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees.
Recruiting:
- Assist with the processing of all new hires including preparing new hire documents, system processing, background checks, and new hire files.
- Assist with managing sourcing, interviewing and employment processes making sure to focus on develop and execution of new recruitment strategies.
- Manage recruitment to ensure we hire qualified employees to meet the company's current and future needs.
- Monitor the recruiting strategies used by the team to make sure the company is utilizing new trends in recruiting and implementing best industry practices.
- Focus on internal development with department managers so as to ensure that the company is focusing on the development of our internal staff through training and recruiting for open positions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must possess a positive attitude and be service oriented.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize at a high level.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, and managerial organizational skills.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word); ability to adapt to new technology and systems.
- Be hands-on, with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Availability to travel between properties as needed.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of Human Resources management experience in the hospitality industry
- Must be collaborative, approachable, and willing to travel between properties
- Superior communication and presentation skills are critical.
- At least 5 years of Human Resources management experience.
- Prior hospitality experience required.
- Multi-property Experience a Plus
- to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
