Pallas Capital Advisors (PCA) is a registered investment advisor whose focus is providing comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. We are seeking an experienced Senior Investment Professional (VP) to help lead the investment strategy of our registered investment advisory firm, which manages approximately $3.5 billion in assets for ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals and families. In this senior, client-facing role, they will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer to develop and implement strategic asset allocation plans and portfolio strategies tailored to sophisticated UHNW client needs. The ideal candidate will combine deep investment expertise with strong communication skills, serving as a key advisor to clients and an influential leader within the firm’s investment team. This position offers an opportunity to shape portfolio strategy at a high level while directly engaging with clients and advisors to ensure their long-term financial objectives are met.
The responsibilities of the Investment VP include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Strategic Asset Allocation: Develop and implement multi-asset class asset allocation frameworks and investment strategies aligned with UHNW client objectives, risk tolerance, and liquidity needs.
- Business Development Support: Collaborate with the CIO and Senior Advisors to shepherd opportunities from proposal generation to final investment selection. Participate in pitch meetings and industry events as a thought leader, articulating the firm’s investment philosophy and value proposition to attract and retain UHNW clientele.
- Manager Due Diligence & Oversight: Oversee external managers and relationships with wholesalers. Monitor performance of managers and ensure they are delivering results consistent with their objectives. Monitor portfolio performance and risk metrics, making tactical adjustments as needed in response to market conditions.
- Investment Research & Strategy Development: Lead the investment research process, analyzing global economic trends, market developments, and new investment opportunities (including alternative investments) to inform the firm’s strategic outlook. Collaborate with the CIO to update and refine the firm’s overall investment policy and strategy.
- Experience with Platforms - Orion, Eclipse, Factset, Fidelity Wealthscape, and Schwab are a plus
Reporting Lines:
This position reports directly to the Pallas Capital Advisors Chief Investment Officer.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10–15 years of experience in investment management, wealth management, or related field, with a demonstrable track record of success in strategic asset allocation and portfolio construction for high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients.
- Investment Expertise: In-depth knowledge of global capital markets, modern portfolio theory, and a wide range of asset classes (equities, fixed income, and alternative investments). Proven ability to design and manage multi-asset class portfolios to meet complex client objectives.
- Client Engagement: Strong client-facing experience with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships and instill confidence with sophisticated UHNW clients by explaining investment strategies, performance, and market perspectives in a clear and professional manner.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is required. An advanced degree or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Credentials: CFA charter holder or MBA (at least one is required). Candidates who possess both credentials are strongly preferred, reflecting a strong foundation in investment analysis and/or advanced business strategy.
