Community Outreach Coordinator
Job Type: Full-time, with some evening and weekend work
Salary: $60,000-$75,000
Reports To: Executive Director
General Description:
The Community Outreach Coordinator provides education and outreach to Palm Beach County residents, particularly in the communities that host Recovery Community Centers (RCC), and with local government. This position will build and maintain effective communication channels, including digital and social media, face-to-face, and print media to promote the HUB, the local RCC’s, recovery, and peer support. This position is also responsible for implementing community education campaigns and HUB events, as well as recruiting potential candidates to serve on the local RCC Advisory Committees,
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide community outreach services to engage recovery populations and allies, as well as educate the community and stakeholders about HUB services.
- Schedule and attend community events to present the HUB brand to the community.
- Assist with the organization and promotion of local trainings and events related to RCO activities.
- Manage and implement HUB communication efforts through various media outlets.
- Manage HUB website and social media channels with regularly scheduled posts, real time updates, and original content.
- Organize special events on behalf of the HUB, including donor events, volunteer appreciation events, and campaign-related events (such as National Recovery Month).
- Assist with the recruitment of members from the local community to become active in the local RCC.
- Develop a Recovery Leadership Academy to train and educate community champions regarding substance use and co-occurring disorders to foster a recovery resilient community.
- Maintain a HUB calendar of events coordinated with local RCC scheduled events.
- Develop relationships with recovery allies, particularly those organizations that can provide services to those accessing the local RCC’s.

Education and Experience:[SL2]
· Bachelor’s Degree required
· Five years of work experience related to community education and training
· Event coordination experience
· Bilingual a plus
· Valid driver’s license
