What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Intake and Scheduling Coordinator position at PALMETTO PEDIATRICS?
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Intake and Scheduling Coordinator to join our pediatric healthcare team. The Patient Intake and Scheduling Coordinator guides patients through the registration process, collecting information, verifying insurance, and scheduling appointments to establish, while also providing excellent customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
· Scheduling new patients to establish care.
· Scheduling follow-up appointments for age-specific preventive care.
· Collect essential data like name, contact details, insurance information to register patient in EMR.
· Ensure the patient feels comfortable and has their questions answered.
· Provide patients with paperwork to complete, such as a new patient intake forms via Phreesia.
· Plan for follow-up visits to continue the patient's care journey and address any ongoing concerns. Tailor appointments based on the patient's age and specific recommendations.
· Use various channels like text, email, or phone to inform patients about their appointments.
· Keep records of appointments to ensure patients receive the care they need and stay on track with their health goals.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
