- Review all job set-ups, specifications, and plans, verify purchase orders, and print jobs for crews.
- Manage jobs in assigned neighborhoods by monitoring and assisting the workflow; managing the employees assigned to the jobs and tasks; communicating with the Market Manager, Site Scheduler, employees, warehouse personnel, builders, and others; and ensuring jobs are completed safely, accurately, and timely.
- Ensure that all personnel are adhering to the Companys safety standards and provide a role-model example of our safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate with Safety Manager, Human Resources, and Market Manager when necessary regarding employee relations issues, incidents, disciplines, terminations, performance reviews, leave time, etc.
- Use plans to review roughs and trims with our crews.
- Visit crews in your assigned neighborhoods to review their performance regularly and at critical junctures in the job, create lists of adjustments or corrections they need to perform, and handle any other issues that may arise.
- Ensure that complete walk-throughs have been performed timely following rough-ins, trim-outs, and hot checks.
- Communicate with the Market Manager regarding any issues with each job, to report job progress, and to let them know when the crew will be ready for another job.
- Effectively use Bolt to follow job progress, leave notes, and mark when jobs are complete.
- Review punch lists, communicate with the crew to ensure all items are corrected, and communicate with the builders regarding outstanding and completed items.
- Communicate with the Scheduler to ensure that any incomplete items are on the schedule and follow up that the items are confirmed as completed.
- Assist with ensuring hot checks are scheduled and performed as required.
- Communicate with Market Manager for any back charges for incomplete jobs or any other issues with subcontractors.
- Communicate with builders regularly throughout the job to ensure we are servicing their account to the fullest.
- Answer phone calls and emails from the builders and try to assist with their requests when applicable or forward their requests to our Scheduler.
- Communicate with the Market Manager and the Scheduler to help them schedule any requests sent in from our customers.
- Assist with our electrical installations, troubleshooting and repair as needed.
- Assist in material takeoffs from the field to help with templates and bids.
- Log into schedules throughout the week to review and send feedback to the Market Manager.
- Pick up loose t-poles that need to be returned to the warehouse.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the above-listed duties, tasks, and functions.
- Minimum of 3 years of residential electrical experience or equivalent.
- High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Valid US issued Driver's License.
- A US Driving Record that passes the Companys insurance carriers approval requirements to drive for the Company.
- The ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
- Ability to read and write in English proficiently, including interpreting documents, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, invoices, shipping/packing lists, and materials lists.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with vendors, service dealers, customers and all levels of company personnel.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
