Job Summary:
We are seeking an Activity Manager for a nursing home facility to develop and coordinate recreational programs and activities for residents. The Activity Manager will be responsible for assessing residents' needs, interests, and abilities to plan engaging and inclusive activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Salary Range: $68,536.00 to $78,000.00 annually

Responsibilities:
- Assess residents' needs and interests to develop an activity plan that addresses physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Organize and facilitate a variety of recreational programs and activities such as exercise classes, arts and crafts, music therapy, and social events
- Coordinate special events and outings for residents to promote community engagement and social interaction
- Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident progress
- Collaborate with other staff members to integrate activities into residents' care plans
- Stay current on best practices in therapeutic recreation and participate in continuing education opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, Psychology, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in planning and leading recreational programs, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient approach when working with older adults
