Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Assitant Manager to lead our dog daycare team and ensure exceptional care for every furry guest. As the Assitant Manager, you will oversee daily operations, staff management, customer satisfaction, and the overall success of the facility. Your role is to ensure that every dog and client experiences top-notch service while fostering a positive and supportive workplace for the team.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dog daycare, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Implement and enforce all policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of dogs and employees.
- Manage scheduling and ensure proper staff-to-dog ratios during all hours of operation.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of facility cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance.
- Handle inventory management for supplies, including food, cleaning products, and other essentials.
Staff Leadership:
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of skilled and motivated staff members.
- Foster a positive team culture that prioritizes collaboration, accountability, and a love for animals.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement professional development plans.
- Schedule and lead team meetings to discuss operations, customer feedback, and goals.
Customer Service:
- Ensure every client receives outstanding service by addressing concerns, answering questions, and building strong relationships.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and feedback, resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
- Implement initiatives to increase client retention, including loyalty programs and customer engagement.
Financial and Business Oversight:
- Monitor daily transactions, handle deposits, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Develop and execute marketing efforts to attract new clients and retain existing ones, including social media campaigns, events, and partnerships.
Dog Care Oversight:
- Ensure that all dogs receive high-quality care, including playtime, feeding, grooming, and rest.
- Monitor playgroups to ensure dogs are safe, happy, and appropriately matched.
- Stay updated on best practices in dog behavior, training, and health to continuously improve care standards.
Preferred Skills
- Proven experience in management, preferably in the pet care, hospitality, or retail industry.
- Passion for animals, with knowledge of dog behavior, breeds, and care requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in business operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in a pet-related field.
- 3 years in a customer facing role.
- 3 years managing staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
