We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
```Responsibilities```
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using our phone system
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with billing and coding tasks as required
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and faxes
- Manage office supplies and maintain a clean reception area
```Requirements```
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with a medical office is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Eclinical Works or similar software is beneficial
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of medical terminology is beneficial
- Ability to adjust and perform clinic specific standards and protocol is a must
- Full time clinic, Monday-Friday, 745am-430pm hours of operation
