What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Developer position at Panasonic Energy Corporation of America?
Proposed Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 (Annually)
Onsite Position (No Remote or Hybrid)
Work Location: One Panasonic Dr. Columbus, GA 31907
System Developer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining information systems. Interfaces with user community for enhancing the systems usability. Lead and mentor all related people.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Code programs (at least one program language)
- Program unit test
- Move programs to production instance
- Create subroutines
- Interact with users
- Problem analysis and bug fix
- Migrate/convert data
- Create/document programming standard.
- Promoting the programming standard in the development group including 3rd party developers.
- Create/implement review process to make sure that the programming standard are implemented for all programs.
- Design the application systems based on the business needs / user needs
- Supervise subordinates - Programmer Analyst (if applicable)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
Directly supervises Programmer Analyst (if applicable).
Duties of the System Developer not only includes writing programs, it would involve more dimensions such as taking ownership, mentoring others, working with peers and to be involved in the management decisions.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; and two years of technical related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with the .NET framework (primarily C#), webforms, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, IIS, RDBMS (either Oracle and/or SQL Server), source control (primarily git), and a moderate understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles are a must.
- Experience with Javascript, jQuery, KnockoutJS, ORMs (NHibernate or Dapper), database modeling, CSS, SASS, HTML5, React, Webpack are highly recommended.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or member of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Must be able to speak and write English fluently. Knowledge of Spanish language helpful.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel programming desired
