Responsibilities- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals and budget.
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure maximum value for the company.
- Monitor market trends and product availability to ensure timely procurement and cost-effective sourcing.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, purchase orders, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with various departments, including finance and production, to forecast demand and manage inventory effectively.
- Analyze and report on purchasing data, providing insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, maintaining ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or similar role, ideally within the distribution or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Deep understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
