What Youll Do in This Role

As a Purchasing Agent , you will play a key role in managing the companys procurement activities, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate bid proposals and manage purchase orders.
  • Handle all aspects of procurement, including specifications, bid analysis, and invoice auditing.
  • Issue purchase orders, contracts, and change orders while maintaining cost control.
  • Organize logistics schedules to meet production needs and manage inventory records.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
  • Lead or direct the work of others as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • What Were Looking For :

    Skills and Abilities :

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • High level of systems knowledge and adaptability.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 7 years of purchasing experience (or equivalent education and experience).
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven, reliable work history.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree is a plus.
  • Experience with JD Edwards software is highly desirable.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment, with occasional need to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, including working on uneven surfaces or using ladders.
