Reports to: Vice President, RxARECARE Operations
Purpose:
The Director of Fulfillment Services leads and develops staff to support operational goals, including the oversight of the Fulfillment team in Collierville, TN; an Inventory team; and a Warehouse team including shipping and receiving. Ensures that all performance standards are maintained or exceeded. This role provides leadership in the business and personnel development of all teams and provides oversight of all associated operational processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and provides direct and indirect oversight of the fulfillment, wholesale, warehouse, inventory, shipping, and fulfillment teams.
- With the support of direct reports, hires, trains, and reviews staff necessary to support the operations of the teams.
- Holds annual performance reviews for direct reports and establishes and manages performance and performance goals for all staff in reporting structure.
- Identifies training needs for all staff in reporting structure and works with corresponding department heads to roll out training plans for new hires with associated required annual competencies.
- Oversees proper fulfillment team training, process documentation, and procedures for the recall process for pharmacy and wholesale services.
- With the support of direct reports, hires, schedules, and oversees pharmacy students and interns.
- With the support of direct reports, oversees paid time off requests and staff scheduling within the department.
- Hosts team meetings with a documented focus of reaching established department goals.
- Identifies a system of measurable outcomes to be reviewed on a yearly or as-needed basis.
- Ensures that inventory is maintained per financial and strategic guidelines.
- Oversees warehouse, fulfillment, inventory, and wholesale services.
- Oversees inventory replenishment and management process for accounts with associated reporting.
- Builds work practice documents for all established roles in reporting structure.
- Designs and manages workflow for current book of business.
- Oversees packing of shipments.
- Assists as Fulfillment Technician and Pharmacist as needed.
- Manages and assists with required pharmacy audits per designated work practice document.
- Coordinates redundancy of pharmacist licensure to ensure continuity of operations.
- Oversees renewal of pharmacy licenses prior to expiration and documents with appropriate systems and partners.
- Maintains pharmacy labels per client & regulatory guidelines.
- Oversees and coordinates proper maintenance of related departmental equipment.
- Partners with Program Managers and Senior Management for limited distribution portfolio to quickly prioritize, solution, and implement feedback from manufacturer partners.
- Partners with Account Management department to ensure ongoing management and enhancement to existing programs and services.
- Oversees all inventory controls and wholesale processes, including ordering and receipt of product, storage, security, and access, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- RPh or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the state of Tennessee, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- 7 years of experience in pharmacy management or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
- Strong working knowledge of pharmacy software systems and the MS Office suite (including Word, Excel, Teams.)
- Excellent and demonstrated communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of specialty pharmacy operations experience.
- Additional out of state Pharmacist licensure or eligibility to obtain.
Work Environment:
This position is an onsite role, operating in a well-lit, mail order distribution pharmacy and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. At times may use common pharmaceutical equipment and safety supplies. PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy offers flexibility only to eligible employees to work hybrid or remotely without compromising work performance, productivity, or team collaboration.
