Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced On-Site Construction Safety Manager for a large-scale project in De Soto, KS. This role requires a strong leader with a passion for safety and people, as well as a proven ability to manage and mentor a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a large on-site safety team, ensuring clear communication, effective conflict resolution.
- Conduct regular site safety audits and generate formal reports to identify and mitigate safety and health hazards.
- Identify and correct unsafe working conditions, ensuring full compliance with OSHA standards.
- Coach and mentor employees on safe work practices and best practices in line with company and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with contractors and project teams to ensure that safety protocols are properly implemented.
- Investigate safety incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Conduct safety orientations for new personnel as needed.
- Represent the client's best interests regarding all health and safety matters on-site.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading an on-site safety team.
- Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience (required).
- Current OSHA 500/502 Credential (required).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- CHST, ASP, or CSP certification (preferred).
