JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Program Manager (APM) will be an exempt employee responsible for day-to-day operations, scheduling all officers' time into payroll, conducting random / scheduled post checks, acting as a liaison between officers and the Program Manager (PM), and having oversight of staff hiring, clearances, and suitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- The APM is the 2nd in command of the NIH award. The APM will make decisions and act on behalf of the PM during the PM's absence and manage all security aspects of the contract.
- He / she will interface with all designated government representatives at all locations where contract guards are assigned, and with members of the Division of Police, physical security personnel, and NIH stakeholders.
- He / she will ensure, from an operational standpoint, that the contractor is enhancing the contractor's ability to satisfy the mission at the NIH.
- The APM shall meet all the specified award requirements for the PM category stated above.
- Be knowledgeable of the NIH award for award compliance.
- Provide direction and supervision to the supervisors.
- Develop and implement procedures to deal with emergency staffing requests.
- Visit each site regularly, documenting any deficiencies found, and immediately instituting a corrective action plan to be shared with the FAC-COR.
- Respond to issues, concerns, or questions in a forthright and timely manner.
- Provide reports and other documentation to the government, as required or upon request.
- Perform the same duties as the Program Manager and other duties assigned by the Contract Officer and / or the FAC-COR.
