Responsibilities Include:
- Create comprehensive disaster recovery plans tailored to OT systems, ensuring business continuity and minimal downtime during crises.
- Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in OT systems and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Implement disaster recovery solutions for OT systems, including data backup systems, emergency communication tools, and alternative operational setups.
- Collaborate with IT and OT teams to ensure that disaster recovery plans are integrated and aligned with business objectives.
- Organize drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans for OT systems
- Regularly update and maintain disaster recovery plans to reflect changes in OT systems and evolving risks.
- Provide training to staff on disaster recovery procedures for OT systems, ensuring that everyone knows their role during emergencies.
- Develop and conduct awareness programs to educate employees and stakeholders on OT disaster preparedness and response protocols.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with client department emergency services and relevant stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response in the event of a disaster.
- Act as a key point of contact during emergencies, facilitating the execution of the disaster recovery plan and coordinating response efforts for OT systems.
- Ensure that disaster recovery plans for OT systems comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly update management on the status of disaster recovery plans, potential risks, and any needed improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Formal training or certifications in disaster recovery, business continuity, and cybersecurity domains with focus of OT resiliency, ideally with applied experience in a government entity.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the Operational Technology Security or Cybersecurity field. With a minimum of two (2) years of experience in disaster recovery planning.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans, conducting risk assessments, and managing IT infrastructure is essential.
- Experience with industry standards such as NIST 800, ISO 27001, and ISA/IEC 62443, CIS Controls for ICS.
- Strong understanding of OT/IT infrastructure, including data management, cloud technologies, and the interdependence of IT systems.
- Experience in planning, implementing, and sustaining disaster recovery and business continuity management, with a focus on OT systems.
- Expertise of risk management and disaster recovery best practices, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Experience with disaster recovery software and tools, such as Veeam, and experience with IT security measures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate complex technical information across all levels of the organization.
