Parallel Employment Group is currently seeking a Controller for a client located near Madison, WI. This role encompasses managing the entire accounting function, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company's goals. The Controller will also provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making processes and drive business growth.
- Direct and manage all aspects of the accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial reporting, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reporting systems that support decision-making.
- Analyze financial data, monitor budgets, and track key performance indicators to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Oversee cash management processes, including cash flow forecasting and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Enhance financial and operational performance through effective financial controls and practices.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting professional development and a culture of accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role in a manufacturing facility
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to present financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a finance team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
