We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Director/Assistant Director to join our team. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social interaction and cooperation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment for children to explore.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other childcare staff to ensure a cohesive approach to child development.
- Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance as needed to promote positive interactions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma is required.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Child Care Center Director or in a leadership role within childcare.
- Child Development Certificate Preferred
- Child Education Specialist's Certificate/Diploma Preferred
- Child Development Associate's Certificate/Certificate Preferred
- Child Care Certified (Preferred)
- Strong ability to educate children through engaging activities and lessons.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children are essential traits.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
