Job title: Safety Claims Administrator
Pay: Starting at $25 to $29 an hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm -or- 8am to 5pm
Location: Hillsboro, Oregon (Five Oaks Support)
The Claims Admin is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of workers' compensation and automotive/general liability claims within the organization. This role ensures that both types of claims are handled efficiently, promptly, and in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. The position involves coordinating with injured employees, medical providers, legal counsel, insurance carriers, and any of PARR's customers affected by accidents to ensure timely resolution, proper documentation of claims and appropriate cost controls. The Claims Admin will also track claim trends, monitor claim costs, and work to minimize liabilities while supporting a safe and healthy work environment.
Additionally, the Claims Admin will analyze claims data to identify recurring workplace hazards and collaborate with the Safety & Risk team to develop proactive safety measures aimed at reducing workplace injuries. This role plays a critical part in improving safety practices and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement in risk management.
The Claims Admin reports directly to the Director of People Operations and works closely with Safety & Risk Leads, HR, Fleet, Facilities, location Managers, and employees.
Qualifications
- Experience with Workers Comp Claims management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- High School Diploma, or GED required
- Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
- Must be able to type 40 WPM
- Ability to speak, write, and read English required
Duties and Responsibilities
Claims Work
- Monitor and audit SAIF (OR) and L&I (WA) claims
- Input driver point assignments into HRIS
- Track Auto Liability/General Liability (ALGL) and respond with insurance when accidents valued over deductible
- For accidents under the insurance deductible, this person is responsible for working with the customer and vendors to close the issue in a satisfactory manner
- Update and track Modified and Bonified Job Offers (MJO/BJO) for injured associates
Reporting
- Ensure that OR managers are submitting 801 forms and submit to SAIF
- Track and report on OSHA 300a
- Monitor the safety incident reporting system
- Analyze claims data to identify trends and recurring safety hazards
Safety Support
- Work with Safety Technicians to develop and recommend safety improvements based on claims data
- Provide insights and reports on injury trends to management to help reduce future claims
- Communicate and schedule fire extinguisher vendors
- Check physical mail at the corporate office
- Respond to emails and phone calls
- Order safety supplies
- Other duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective system operations.
The primary working conditions are an office environment with a computer. The job is primarily daytime, within a 6am to 6pm window, 40 hours per week plus overtime as required.
Physical Requirements

- Must be able to drive a vehicle when necessary
- Both local and overnight travel may be required
