General Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Director, People Development, the Professional Development Generalist RN is responsible for course development in-person and computer-based, and the implementation of learning programs that cultivate and nurture Parrish Healthcare’s culture of evidence-based excellence.
The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice® and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans, markets, develops, implements and evaluates educational initiatives across the organization.
- Ensures effective student experiences through reviews and evaluations.
- Conducts training/educational offerings in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Implements training based on evidenced based practice standards for the purpose of quality improvement.
- Builds and maintains collaborative partnerships with interdisciplinary departments.
- Serves as an administrator for the computer-based Learning Management System.
- Supports new care partner orientation and onboarding across the organization.
- Participates in process improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma methodology.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
- Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area
Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree required. Major required: Nursing
Work Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.
Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association required
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification (required within first year)
- State of Florida Registered Nurse License required
