Position Summary:
The Vice President (VP) of Human Resources (HR) will provide strategic direction and leadership for Parsec's global human resources function. This leader will drive HR's alignment with business objectives and position Parsec as a best-in-class employer in the manufacturing technology sector. The VP of HR will also act as a key business partner to the executive leadership team and will drive the development of a high-performing culture, and a world-class function aligned to best practice standards.
This role oversees all aspects of HR, including strategy, policy and compliance, organizational development, culture and engagement, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition and retention, employee lifecycle management, performance management, HR technology and analytics, and office management. The Vice President of HR will ensure Parsec remains compliant with international, national, and local employment laws in collaboration with legal advisors.
As the "voice of the employee," this leader will champion initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention while fostering a high-performance culture. Additionally, this role will focus on scaling HR processes and systems to meet the needs of a rapidly growing organization. The position reports directly to the CFO and will play a critical role in driving the company's overall success, including advising executive leadership on key talent strategies.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that supports business growth, scalability, and talent excellence while positioning HR as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team.
- Lead workforce planning and long-term talent acquisition strategy to support company expansion.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR priorities with business objectives.
HR Policy & Compliance
- Develop and maintain core HR policies and an up-to-date employee handbook to ensure compliance and reflect company values.
- Ensure compliance with international, national, and local labor laws, advising leadership on legal risks and best practices.
Organizational Development
- Create and implement scalable structures to optimize organizational efficiency and drive operational excellence.
- Identify high-potential employees, develop internal pipelines for critical roles, and prepare future leaders to ensure continuity and organizational resilience.
Culture & Engagement
- Champion Parsec's culture by addressing employee concerns proactively and driving engagement initiatives through surveys and actionable strategies.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to create an inclusive workplace that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee employee benefit programs (e.g., health, dental, 401K) and contribute to developing a competitive compensation strategy.
- Ensure compensation structures align with market benchmarks and business growth goals.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Oversee the end-to-end recruiting lifecycle, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and an exceptional candidate experience.
- Develop strategies to attract, retain, and engage top talent in competitive markets.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Oversee and optimize the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring seamless onboarding, career development, and offboarding experiences.
- Implement training programs to enhance skills, leadership capabilities, and performance.
Performance Management
- Develop and implement performance management systems, including goal setting and continuous feedback mechanisms.
- Equip leaders with tools and training to effectively manage performance and foster employee growth.
HR Technology & Analytics
- Select, implement, and manage HR systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS) to streamline processes like payroll and talent acquisition.
- Leverage HR data and analytics to drive data-informed decision-making and improve HR effectiveness.
Office Management
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of offices in Anaheim, California, and Vigo, Spain, with potential for future expansion.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA or HR-related) preferred.
- 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience in high-growth, scaling companies
- Preferred: Experience in both large enterprises with mature HR operations and early-stage companies, demonstrating the ability to scale HR from foundational levels to best practices.
- Proven experience managing HR across multiple sites and countries.
- Subject Matter Expertise:
- Broad knowledge of HR best practices, including systems, processes, and team composition.
- Strong understanding of local, state, national, and international employment laws.
- Experience managing HRIS and ATS platforms (Paylocity and Greenhouse preferred).
- Proficient in developing HR metrics and analytics to guide decisions and measure effectiveness.
- Preferred: Experience building and scaling HR functions in private equity-backed environments.
- Leadership & Strategic Capabilities:
- Demonstrated success in fostering employee engagement and building strong company cultures.
- Experience advising executive teams on HR and workforce strategy
- Proven ability to develop HR strategies that align with business objectives and drive organizational success.
