Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Systems Administrator to join our growing team!

The program vision is to serve as a research and development incubator for new and innovative remote sensing algorithms, user interfaces, and data analytics to serve the objective of exploiting OPIR data to produce actionable information in support of the primary mission and other emerging mission areas (e.g. civil and environmental). This role is onsite in Boulder Monday-Friday, regular business hours.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Working with a team of engineers within a Research and Development Agile environment to provide Tier 2 system administration expertise in support of operations and tasking that are outside of Tier 1 expertise.
• Perform system automation, monitoring, and virtualization efforts through script development, testing, deployment, and maintenance in support of system administration and cyber security requirements.
• Provide Tier 2 system administration of a VMWare & Linux environment, implement system builds in accordance with architecture and design specifications support Tier 1 staff escalations, adhere to system configuration control mechanisms, create and update documentation, interface with vendors regarding system issues, escalate issue to Tier 3, and manage escalations to closure.
• Provide input to system technical and process improvements.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active DoD Secret security clearance, with the ability and willingness to obtain/maintain a Top Secret with SCI access.
• Active Security Certification or willing to obtain within 6 months
• Current Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical discipline
• Real world experience and proficiency with automation tools; Ansible preferred
• Experience with shell scripting languages (e.g., BASH)
• Experience with management of virtualization, and container technology (VMware workstation, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, Acropolis Hypervisor, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Real world experience and proficiency with SEIM solutions (Elastic Stack, SolarWinds, Sensu, Nagios, Splunk) and industry standard Security applications (HBSS, ACAS)
• Experience with storage configuration, management, and administration
• Proficiency with RHEL 8/9 systems administration and patching
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite Server and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
• Strong Troubleshooting skills

What Desired Skills You Might Bring:

• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
• Experience with Ruby, Python, and YAML
• Proficiency with Windows (Windows 7/10/Server 2019)
• Experience with management of cloud technology (AWS EC2/S3/Glacier)
• Familiarity with network administration of routers, switches, and firewalls
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Certification within the VMware discipline
• Certification within the AWS discipline

Salary Range: $108,700.00 - $190,200.00
