Construction Inspector, Resident EngineerFull- time Construction Inspector, Resident Engineer opportunity available for a major firm located on Long Island. The work schedule will be hybrid, three days a week at job sites two days remote from the firm's office.This position will be paying a competitive fulltime salary and an outstanding benefits package.Responsibilities : The firm is seeking a resident engineer on-site for civil-structural related work.Current projects include an Electric Power Generating Station in Brooklyn, NY where the firm is overseeing the rehabilitation of a large pier including the encasement of piles below the waterline as well as overseeing geotechnical investigations of potential future development site.Other current project sites include a Generating Station (façade and structural remediation efforts) and power plant (pier and pile cap restoration projects).The ideal Resident Engineer for these projects may be on-site approximately 2-3 days per week and will oversee the contractors' work as well as coordinating the outside dive inspection consultant.Additional work includes oversight of construction of large commercial and industrial pre-engineered metal buildings). The balance of the time the candidate may be in the firm's offices on Long Island to assist on other project sites.Experience : The ideal candidate should possess a PE (Professional Engineering) education which is preferred however a candidate with EIT (Engineer in Training) and has field construction or construction oversight experience, particularly in the civil and / or structural disciplines will be considered.The interview process will include an initial telephone or Zoom screening.For further information, please email me at : fred.george@pritechnology.com#PRITechJobs
