Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closings, and prepare financial statements that reflect the organization's mission.
- Drive the development of annual budgets, forecasting, and financial planning to align with strategic goals.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards (GAAP) and federal/state regulations to safeguard the organization’s funding and sustainability.
- Manage cash flow, grant funding, and restricted funds, ensuring resources are available to support impactful programs.
- Support audits and ensure timely preparation of audit schedules and documentation, enhancing transparency.
- Provide financial reports to the Board of Directors and executive leadership, guiding key decisions that further the organization’s community impact.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of IRS Form 990 and other filings.
- Collaborate closely with program directors and department heads to manage financial aspects of grants and special projects.
- Mentor and guide accounting staff, fostering their growth and contributing to a positive team environment.
Salary : $95,000 - $100,000
