Join our RCYC team at Partnership to help young adults transitioning out of foster care and into adulthood. As the Transitional Living Specialist, you'll help oversee the Supervised Independent Living sites and provide coaching and case management to clients. This full-time position is eligible for all company standard benefits.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social services or related field preferred
- 1 yr. experience in a social work/human services setting required
- Experience working with young adults ages 17-24 preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Able to organize own time effectively
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of foster care system and child welfare a plus
Job Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Youth Education Manager, the Transitional Living Specialist (TLS) is a vital member of the River City Youth Collective team partnering with young adults who have been in foster care and supporting their transition to adulthood. In coordination with DCS case managers and other providers, the TLS provides case management, ensures client eligibility, offers consultation and referral for services, and nurtures a safe and consistent home environment in our residential property(ies). Working closely with the RCYC team, the TLS assists with programmatic and logistical aspects of the Supervised Independent Living program for young adults who have aged out of foster care/state custody. This position maintains a flexible, organized, and efficient work schedule and is subject to participate in on-call as assigned.
