Position : Applications Analyst

Exempt Position
Effective Date : Immediately
Salary : $84,490 - $100,347
Schedule : 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday
260 day - work year
Required Qualifications : (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
- Any combination of experience and education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline and three years of experience in software application support or a related technical field
- Demonstrated excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, while maintaining a positive attitude and a commitment to task accomplishment
- Understanding of relational databases and experience using custom workflow and report writing tools
- Programmatic and process-oriented mindset, with the ability to digitally model complex workflows and data structures
- Ability to elicit and understand business processes / requirements and translate to a digital solution
- Experience providing effective trainings and consultations to audiences with diverse technical knowledge, experience, and ability
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment to organize, set priorities, coordinate activities, and teach oneself new skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure with frequent interruptions, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
Desired Qualifications :
As the Business System Analyst, the candidate will play a pivotal role as the primary advanced system administrator for the district's Enterprise Resource Planning software, PowerSchool BusinessPlus. The candidate will support and interface with power-users in the district's Fiscal and Employee Services departments, while lightly supporting end users. The candidate will become familiar with district business operations, including payroll, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable and assist staff in performing those functions within BusinessPlus. This intimate knowledge of business operations will also assist the candidate in building and digitizing processes in the district's forms and workflow platform, Laserfiche. The Business System Analyst provides candidates the opportunity to solve key business problems, create operational efficiencies, and tangibly see how the results of their work positively impact the staff and students of Pasco School District.
